To support a fast growing demand for CFRTP parts, DTC is increasing production capacity.
August 25th 2011, a contract was signed for delivery of a new 5 axis portal CNC machine for composites and light alloys.
Again CMS of Italy will be the supplier of this machine via their Dutch agent CNC Team who will be responsible for installation and support for the machine.
The machine is the same CMS Ares type as DTC is already employing for several years. The new machine has improved Fanuc drivers with automatic tool radius compensation and automatic B- en C-axis allignment. The working area of this machine is 1.800 x 3.600 mm that can be divided in two areas for simultaneous machining and part change.
DTC will use the machine for trimming and drilling of CFRTP parts as well as for the machining of aluminium press tools.
The machine will be installed at DTC Almere in the week of December 16th.
