TPRC, the ThermoPlastic composite Research Center in the Netherlands, is an open innovation, research- and development center that aims for thermoplastic composites for a broad range of end use markets.
Thermoplastic composites are important materials for many contemporary high end applications in transport, industry, energy and healthcare. TPRC primarily executes joint development projects on new thermoplastic composite technologies and applications. In these joint projects TPRC takes into account materials, processing and design aspects. Next to the joint generic technology projects, TPRC also executes specific developments for its members or third parties, but these results are not part of the joint semi-public domain.
The independent foundation TPRC is accessible for all the parties from different value chains in the thermoplastic composite sector, like material suppliers, engineering and design bureaus, production organisations, machine suppliers, education and research institutes. TPRC is located right next to the University of Twente in Enschede, the Netherlands.
