Aerospace interiors require reduced weight at affordable cost while not compromising safety. Press forming is able to meet these goals, when the right semi-finished product is selected, such as GF/PEI. PEI based composites are available at lower cost than for example PPS and PEEK, but display equal safety performance (fire, smoke, toxicity).
